Years ago, there was the need to find a terminology to define different kinds of rooms, like junior suite or superior suite. Nowadays, according to the New Economy or Green Economy, the attention is focused on the application of ecosustainability also in tourism. The innovation in this sector is green and it takes form through the Ecologic Room.
To be considered ecologic, a room must respect strict parameters of energy efficiency, healthiness a
nd comfort. Moreover, Feng Shui principles allow to obtain the top certification level.
This is what happened to the Low Impact Feng Shui Room, at the Eco- Hotel La Residenza. The room near the reception has been restyled respecting Feng Shui and bio-architecture principles, and passed from being the noisiest to being the most desired room, because it’s “sensational”.
Feng Shui means wind and water and it’s an oriental discipline that suggests the principles to design and to furnish in harmony with the nature, in order to get wellness. In the Chinese culture, sinuous shapes of rocks, trees, streams and waterfalls stand for the natural energy flow from which take inspiration. Matching shapes, materials, lights and colours in the correct balance between yin and yang, makes possible to reduce tensions and to increase positive influences.
In the “Feng Shui Low Impact Room” at the Eco-Hotel La Residenza, the Bamboo floors are made of bamboo from controll
ed forests. It is an ecologic choice, as this woody grass grows faster than wood, generating more oxygen then the same quantity of trees.
The paints on the walls and ceiling contain mineral colours and hygienic properties, so they’re suitable for allergic people.
The “Turtle” bed is oriented to south east following Ba Gua discipline. It brings harmony and wellness, and the yellow paint at the wall stimulates creativity. The furniture shapes are sinuous, recalling the natural roundness. The bed, realized in certified fir wood, has a turtle shape that is symbol of longevity.
The futon handmade matress is composed of natural materials as cotton, wool and coconut fiber,
in order to guarantee a healthy sleep. With no metal nor tongs, it prevents the creation of electromagnetic fields. For its material compactness, the matress is also suitable for people with orthopedic problems.
The bathroom is indigo, the colour of freshness and introspection: it’s a wellness room, with certified water saving taps and devices that according to the water temperature produce a nice coloured light.
The light is based on a low waste technology, with eco-friendly Japanese rice paper that respects the sun frequency. At the center of the room there is a RGB lamp for chromotherapy: according to the colour, it produces light with energizing or relaxing effect.
The double glazing windows are made in FSC certified glulam, with triple seals for air and noise tight.
The room is fitted with a network breaker to avoid electromagnetic fields during the sleep, and it’s sheleted from geopathies.
All the heads of linen are Oeko tex standard 100 certified, a guarantee of no harmfullness of textile products in contact with skin. The minibar is in A+ Energy class and there are waste baskets for the differentiated collection.
To the taps have been arranged energizers that make water look like spring one, with diuretic and drainage properties.
Over the air conditioner there’s a ring harmonizer that neutralizes electromagnetic pollution; on the wall it has been put
a rebalancing that moves the energies of the room, melts the blockages and lets the healthy natural energies circle, in order to improve the quality of guests’ sleep.
Nowadays tourists can responsibly choose to stay in an Ecologic Room: the desire to live healthy without renouncing to wellness is more than a fad, it’s the expression of a new ecological sensibility. This is possible in the Low Impact Feng Shui Room, at the Eco-Hotel La Residenza.
